Cassava starch is widely used in food industry and non food industry. Mainly used in the following areas:
1.Foods: Cassava starch is widely used in food formulations, such as baked products, also used in the production of extruded food and small beads of cassava. Modified starch or starch derivatives have been used as thickener, binder, swelling agent and stabilizer, and also the best incremental agent, sweeteners, flavoring agent carrier and fat substitute.
2.Beverage: Modified starch is used as a stabilizer in a beverage containing a solid component. In beverage, cassava starch is better than sucrose, , because the former has improved the processing process and strengthened the product characteristics, combined with other sweeteners, can fully meet
the needs of consumers. Hydrolysis of sweet potato starch with high degree of hydrolysis syrup is an ideal source of fermented sugar in beer brewing.

3.Candy, Cassava starch and a variety of modified starch in candy production has many uses, such as gel, thickening, stable system, enhanced foam, controlled crystallization, adhesion, film, add luster, etc.. Low viscosity cassava starch is widely used in the production of gelatin candy, such as jelly and chewing gum.
4.Chemical industry: Cassava starch based syrup by acid hydrolysis or enzymatic hydrolysis process to achieve low cost production, which is used as a raw material for the production of various chemicals, such as monosodium glutamate, amino acid, organic acid, alcohol, ketone, vitamins and antibiotics.
